Teknion Warranty
The Teknion Limited Lifetime Warranty is our commitment to the quality and craftsmanship of our products. Teknion will, at no cost to the original purchaser and for as long as the original purchaser owns a Teknion product, repair or replace with a comparable product, at Teknion’s option, any part or product sold after December 31, 2021, which fails as a result of a defect in its design, materials or workmanship.
For all purposes of this warranty the term “purchaser” is defined as the entity or individual acquiring a new Teknion product as the initial purchaser thereof either from Teknion or an authorized Teknion Dealer.
Teknion Obsolescence Policy
Teknion is committed to continual product innovation to address evolving international workplace trends. Teknion provides for long-term availability plus a commitment to comparable product lines and components.
As we expand our product portfolio, and to protect our customers’ investments, we strive to design new products that work functionally and aesthetically in conjunction with our existing offerings. However, factors beyond our control including changing market demands, technologies and suppliers will impact the availability of our product portfolio over time.
The current Teknion Price and Product Guides list standard products, fabrics and finishes. Once a year, we issue a list of the products, fabrics and finishes that will no longer be offered by Teknion which provides our customers with sufficient time to make alternative choices. Any products withdrawn from Teknion’s standard offering will be available as a special offering, usually for as long as materials and component parts remain available. Minimum order quantities and extended lead times may apply to such offerings. If we are unable to supply the exact product as a special offering, Teknion will endeavor to provide customers with a product that is similar in function and appearance to that originally purchased.
The supply of specific fabrics and finishes is dependent on market demand and availability from Teknion’s various mill partners. Therefore, exact matches of discontinued fabrics and finishes cannot be guaranteed.
Product Components
Teknion makes decisions about product lines based on a three-year marketing plan, which includes addressing the continuance of products and individual components within product offerings. We work under the philosophy of our standard Obsolescence Policy above as new products are developed or other items are upgraded in design. Integration is a core mandate in our product development philosophy.
Fabrics & Finishes
Certain finishes are a third-party control point, while our textile program is managed by our affiliate company LUUM. As such, we work with our customers to obtain and provide manufacturer expectations for availability. Once a specific product line and fabric palette have been selected for the project, Teknion will be in a position to provide a commitment to future availability. Fabric and finish offerings are routinely enhanced or refreshed with new color and environmental trends. Panel / vertical fabrics are typically designed to be more timeless, with more neutral colors and less pattern, and therefore will typically have a longer life cycle when compared to upholsteries, which typically need to reflect the current color and pattern trends.
Teknion Lead Times
Our lead time sheet is updated weekly and lists each of our products from all of our factories globally. From this, we are able to quote and you can count on our published lead times when an order is placed.
Standard Lead Times
Teknion offers extremely competitive standard lead times for all products manufactured to customer specifications. Lead times (measured from receipt of purchase order to product shipment) are published on a weekly basis and may vary slightly from week to week.
Split Ship Accommodations
We have the ability to phase product deliveries to accommodate the project schedule. For example framing first, then fascia's followed by glass and hardware as required.
Because we are totally vertically integrated we are able to adjust the manufacturing and delivery schedule on a weekly basis to accommodate the site conditions and project schedule. By manufacturing our own glass and wall systems, we ensure consistent tolerances and a seamless, single-source delivery that stays strictly aligned with the General Contractor’s schedule.
Run-Through Program
To further demonstrate our willingness to meet the needs of our customers, Teknion offers a run-through program, whereby many products can be manufactured on an expedited basis to satisfy urgent installation requirements.
Teknion Xpress
Teknion also offers a comprehensive quick ship program for furniture and walls, where customers have access to a multitude of products that are available from our standard Xpress Catalog. Lead times range from 5 – 10 days. Some restrictions do apply.
